Intro to Ninja

This class works on fundamental movement methods and strength and conditioning  exercises and drills together with ninja tips to help with the Intro to Ninja course.

1 hr class.

Open Play

An open play session gives you a chance to play, swing, jump and leap through all the various areas and obstacles at ninja play. An unstructured session so you do as you please – first time users will be given a safety brief.

2 hr sessions.

Ninja Chicks

This is a class lead by women specifically for women. The female body is designed differently to the male counterpart and this class focuses on showing females how those differences aren’t a disadvantage and how to condition both our mind and body to train and play like a ninja.

1 hr class.

Ninja Play Days

Want to be a ninja? Play, swing, climb and move your body how it is meant to move. Overcome obstacles, build self esteem, challenge yourself and have a fun few hours. Brand new to Byron is our Ninja play days.

A fulfilled exciting day of being challenged, learning strength and stamina of both mind and body, exploring our bodies natural movements. simply play and have lots of fun, as well as learning some specific ninja skills required for certain obstacles, and then get to put it all together and give a ninja warrior inspired course a go.

This day is to suit all levels and abilities everyone can join in and an exciting experience and fun way to spend a day in Byron Bay.

The Ninja Play day goes from 9 am till 3pm and includes a lunch together with coaching and instruction by our highly experienced and qualified coaches and ninja warriors.

Ninja PT

Personal training sessions will utilise all of the academy’s facilities and equipment. This can vary on working on fundamental strength conditioning and movement pattens, or to focus specificly on a certain skill depending on the individuals needs and goals .

1-on-1 30 & 60 min sessions.
2-on-1 30 & 60 min sessions.

Ninja HIIT

A high intensity interval training session that is a circuit and tabata style, using exercises that work on strength, agility, and cardiovascular, and those that would specifically help with conditioning the body for ninja style sessions.

Shotokan Karate

A 4th Dan in Karate Do which he has been practicing since his teens and a 2nd Dan inTaekwon Do with four years spent in Korea, Jean Boussard Sensei has been initiated tomany other Martial Arts : Vietvodao (black belt), judo, aikido, kendo, nunchaku, taichi,capoeira and thai kickboxing; he has trained and taught in many countries. Jean Senseiteaches efficiency as Martial Arts are lethal knowledge, with a holistic approach thatincorporates the understanding of one’s own vital energy. Shotokan Karate Sessions offered at Ninja Play incorporate the realistic teaching of Practical Self Defense (PSD). bodyArt is an intense holistic, functional mind and body workout combining strength, flexibility, cardio and breathing. Based on the principles of yin and yang and the five elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine, bodyArt training creates a dynamic link between active and passive movement, as well as the effects of tension and release. In other words, energetic moves are combined with controlled postures that incorporate strength, internal awareness and balance, giving the program a unique rhythm and flow.

Practiced barefoot, bodyArt has been described as a tribal, flowing yoga-inspired class set to cool house music. Classes incorporate a range of energies, from gentle breathing and mindfulness to the warming, uplifting moves of the deepWORK section.

Animal Flow®

Animal Flow® is an innovative fitness program that combines quadrupedal and ground-based movement with elements from various bodyweight-training disciplines to create a fun, challenging workout emphasizing multi-planar, fluid movement.

No matter what your sports or fitness goals are, Animal Flow® will improve your mobility, strength, endurance and power. Whether you’re an extreme athlete or just looking to get fit – Animal Flow® is for everyone who wants to get into their peak physical condition and have fun while doing it.

Obstacle Ready

This is a obstacle race inspired class that covers tips, techniques and tricks on how to tackle each obstacle. Grip strength, agility, mobility and fitness drills to train specifically for these courses and competitions.

Each session will focus on a particular movement and part of the course on competition of the 12 week course, we will run you through a competition against the clock and other ninjas.

1 hr class.

Obstacle & Family Team

For groups of people training for a spartan or tough mudder event or a family wanting to train and play together. We will offer a 4hr team training day to give you the tips, tricks and skills needed to tackle the course the best way!

1-4 people or 4-8 people.
4 hr class.

Corporate Team

These are tailor made sessions for corporate groups and will involve a brief presentation on overcoming obstacles, followed by team building challenges and competitions.

Duration and cost will vary depending on request.

High School Workshops

These are tailor made sessions for student groups and will involve a brief presentation on overcoming obstacles that will focus on mental strength and building confidence. A physical session will follow with a variety of challenges and competitions.

Ninja Parties

You can choose the style and duration of your party to be individually designed to suit your needs. We can set a small competitions, challenges or keep to a simple session. Food options also available
